Fides quaerens intellectum

Irish Polytheism from my point of view.

Danu

Great Mother Danu,
Your song is heard within flowing waters.
I offer thanks for your gifts of abundance;
I ask you to continue to guide me on my path.
May all people live in praise of your nurturing essence as I strive to do.

Slán agus beannacht leat!

Danu Offering Incense

- 3 tbsp myrrh
- 1 tbsp Irish moss
- 1 tbsp lavender
- 1 tbsp makko powder (optional)
- 1/2 tbsp mugwort
- 1/4 tbsp hibiscus (or jasmine flowers)

1. Begin by using a mortar and pestle to get the myrrh to small, pebble-sized pieces. Set myrrh aside in the container you will use to hold the completed mixture.

2. Combine remaining ingredients into mortar and pestle, focusing on honoring Danu and giving her your thanks for the blessings you have received as you grind the contents together. Note: this is about giving thanks instead of asking for more abundance.

3. Add the myrrh back into the mortar and pestle with the other ingredients, stirring lightly to combine.

4. When all have been combined and you have finished adding your intention into the mixture, return contents to the container.

5. Burn as needed on a charcoal disc as a loose incense, or make into incense cones or pellets according to personal preference.
